Aim and Scope
Aims
Penelitian Gizi dan Makanan (The Journal of Nutrition and Food Research) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to the dissemination of scientific research that advances knowledge in nutrition, food, and their relationships with human health and well-being.
The journal provides a platform for researchers, academics, healthcare professionals, nutritionists, food scientists, public health practitioners, policymakers, and other relevant stakeholders to communicate and exchange scientific evidence. It aims to support the development of nutrition and food sciences through the publication of methodologically sound, original, and ethically conducted research.
The journal welcomes contributions from diverse geographical, cultural, and socioeconomic settings that improve understanding of nutritional status, dietary patterns, food quality, food systems, nutrition-related health outcomes, and evidence-informed policies and interventions.
Scope
The journal publishes research addressing scientific, clinical, public health, social, and policy-related dimensions of nutrition and food. Its scope includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

Types of Articles
The journal considers the following manuscript types:
-
Original research articles.
-
Secondary data analysis articles.
-
Policy analysis articles.
-
Review articles, including systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
All submissions must demonstrate relevance to the journal's scope, methodological appropriateness, scientific rigor, originality, and compliance with research and publication ethics.
Scope Boundaries
The journal prioritizes manuscripts that establish a clear scientific contribution to nutrition, food, and their implications for human health or well-being.
Studies in food science, food technology, food chemistry, food safety, or related disciplines may be considered when their relevance to nutrition, dietary quality, food systems, or human health is clearly established.
Manuscripts focused exclusively on food engineering, industrial processing, product development, or commercial performance, without a clear connection to the journal's scientific focus, may be considered outside the journal's scope.
Manuscripts are assessed according to their scientific merit, methodological quality, originality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal. Inclusion within the stated scope does not guarantee acceptance for publication.
