Redaksi Jurnal PENELITIAN GIZI DAN MAKANAN menerima naskah/artikel ilmiah berupa hasil penelitian, analisis ilmiah data skunder, analisis kebijakan, maupun kajian (review) tentang topik terkini di bidang gizi dan makanan. Naskah dapat ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia atau bahasa Inggris, belum pernah dimuat atau sedang diajukan untuk dimuat dalam media lain. Naskah yang dikirimkan akan dibahas oleh Dewan Redaksi bersama para pakar sesuai bidang keilmuannya untuk menentukan kelayakan dimuat. Untuk naskah yang dimuat, Dewan Redaksi berhak mengedit naskah sepanjang tidak mengubah arti atau inti/isi pokok tulisan guna keperluan tata letak.

Naskah dikirim dalam bentuk electronic file melalui OJS. Diketik menggunakan program Microsoft Word, spasi 1 lines, huruf Arial 10, jumlah halaman 10-20, dengan kertas berukuran A4. Sistematika penulisan mengikuti kaidah sebagai berikut:

  • Judul secara singkat dalam bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris menggunakan huruf kapital maksimal 14 kata
  • Identitas Penulis meliputi: nama penulis tanpa gelar dan tanpa jabatan penulis (diletakkan setelah judul), disusul lembaga asal penulis beserta alamat kantor secara lengkap (bila dimungkinkan dilengkapi kode pos), dan alamat e-mail penulis utama/koresponden author beserta nomor telepon/telepon seluler
  • Abstrak beserta kata kunci ditulis dalam dua bahasa (Indonesia dan Inggris). Abstrak dibuat ringkas dan jelas, ditulis dalam satu paragraf dengan jumlah kata 150-250. Abstrak meliputi: pendahuluan (background), tujuan (objective), metode (method), hasil (results), kesimpulan (conclusion), disertai dengan 3-5 kata kunci (keywords)
  • Pendahuluan merupakan pernyataan masalah yang dikupas, informasi latar belakang yang penting, serta tujuan dari penelitian
  • Metode mencakup desain penelitian, setting, sampel/partisipan, variabel, sumber data/pengukuran, cara analisis, dan metode statistik
  • Hasil menyajikan hasil-hasil utama yang berkaitan dengan masalah yang dikupas. Penyajian tabel, nomor dan judul tabel ditulis di atas tabel; sedangkan untuk gambar penulisan nomor dan judul gambar setelah tampilan gambar. Penyajian grafik disarankan tidak berwarna tapi berupa arsir. Lambang, singkatan atau akronim dapat digunakan setelah ada penjelasan atau kepanjangannya
  • Bahasan mengenai hasil utama, interpretasi, perbandingan dengan penelitian sebelumnya, keterbatasan penelitian
  • Kesimpulan ditulis dalam bentuk narasi (bukan pointer), dan bukan kesimpulan dari tabel atau uji statistik
  • Saran (opsional) ditulis dalam bentuk narasi (bukan pointer)
  • Ucapan Terimakasih ditulis dalam bentuk narasi (bukan pointer),ditujukan kepada para profesional yang membantu penyusunan naskah, pemberi dukungan teknis, dana, dan dukungan dari institusi
  • Rujukan sangat dianjurkan dari sumber primer 5 tahun terakhir, ditulis sesuai format penulisan jurnal Penelitian Gizi dan Makanan. Rujukan yang dikutif dalam naskah ditulis menggunakan sistem penomoran. Nomor rujukan diletakkan di belakang kutipan menggunakan superscript font, contoh1,2. Bila nomor kutipan berurutan lebih dari 2, nomor awal dan akhir dipisahkan dengan tanda hubung, contoh1-3. Penulisan rujukan harus taat asas, konsisten, dan disusun sesuai urutan pemunculan dalam teks

Penelitian Gizi dan Makanan is a journal developed to disseminate and discuss the scientific literature and other research on the development of health in the field of food and nutrition.

This journal is intended as a medium for communication among stake holders on health research such as researchers, educators, students, practitioners of Health Office, Department of Health, Public Health Service center, as well as the general public who have an interest in the matter.

The journal is trying to meet the growing need to study health.

Vision:

Becoming a notable national journal in the field of food and nutritions towards a reputable international journal.

Mission:

  1. Providing scientific communication media in food and nutritions research in order to advance science and technology in related fields.
  2. Organizes scholarly journal publishing in health research with an attempt to achieve a high impact factor in the development of science and technology.

Peer Review Process

Penelitian Gizi dan Makanan is a journal published by Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan (National Institute of Health Research and Development), Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.

The research article submitted to this journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) reviewers. The accepted research articles will be available online following the journal peer-reviewing process.

Penelitian Gizi dan Makanan make any effort to scan submitted article from plagiarism.

The decision of accepted article is the authority of editor-in-chief with regard from editorial board.

There is no charge for submitted manuscripts.

 

Publication Frequency

Penelitian Gizi dan Makanan (The Journal of Nutrition and Food Research) is a scientific journal published twice in a year.

This journal published for the first time in 1971, now available online.

Publication Ethics and Malpractices Guidelines of Jurnal Penelitian Gizi dan Makanan

Jurnal Penelitian Gizi dan Makanan or The Journal of Nutrition and Food Research (PGM) is a peer-reviewed journal to publish articles in the field of health science & research. PGM committed to the ethical standards set for all entities involved in the publication of article.

Responsibilities PGM Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor and Editor-in-Chief Editor

Liabilities:

The PGM has an editorial team consisting of  an editor-in-chief, a managing editor and board of editors. They all are required to be accountable and responsible editors for publishing the PGM article. The PGM editors led by the editor-in-chief. The PGM editors have a duty and responsible as follows:

  1. Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor accept articles submitted by the author to the PGM.
  2. Articles submitted by the authors to the PGM are distributed by the Editor-in-Chief, or Managing Editor to the editors in  the Board of Editors for conducting the 1streview process (initial review). Distribution of the articles are well-regulated by the Editor-in-Chief, or Managing Editor so workload can be fairly distributed in number to all editors. Review process PGM using a double-blind peer-review system, performed by using the Referee's Appraisal Form.
  3. Editor-in-Chief is responsible for determining the deadline for receipt of articles that are ready for publication.
  4. Editor-in-Chief is responsible for implementing and leading the editorial board meeting. Editorial board meetings conducted at least 1 (one) times in 1 (one) issue, to finalize the issue for publication. If the Editor-in-Chief is absent, then Editor-in-Chief can assign the Managing Editor or one of editors to do the duties.

Justice:

A decision to publish an article is done through the mechanism of peer-review processs stated above, and it is taken into account based on the quality of article. The decision was taken without considering the religion, ethnic origin, nationality, race or gender of the author.

Confidentiality:

Confidentiality of the article before publication maintained as well as possible. The PGM editors cannot release any information available on the article to anyone except the author of the  article. Information in a text can be released to others PGM editor with the knowledge of the Editor-in-Chief, or Managing Editor.

Disclosure and conflict of interest:

Articles and the materials related to the article that are not accepted for publication in PGM must be returned to the authors, and it cannot be used by the PGM editors for any reason. To avoid conflicts of interest, the decision was taken in publishing the articles should be fair and based on the peer-review process.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions:

Evaluation Reviewers become the main reference for the Editor-in-Chief in making editorial decisions. Evaluation results from the reviewers are really intended to help the author to improve the quality of the article.

Appropriateness:

If there is an improper designation reviewer, for example, the designated reviewer is not competent in the field of expertise of the article being in peer-review process, one of the PGM editors can report it to the Editor-in-Chief or the Managing Editor. Then, the Editor-in-Chief, or the Managing Editor determines another reviewer with a consideration of some of the editors with the expertise of the article.

Confidentiality:

Each article is accepted by the reviewer must be strictly confidential. Article and peer-reviewed results should not be submitted directly to the author, or communicated to other than the author, but it must be submitted to the editor in charge, Editor-in-Chief or the Managing Editor.

Responsibilities of Authors

Reporting standards:

Authors should clearly present the objective and significance of research in the article. Author should follow the PGM guidelines in preparing the article to submit.

Originality:

Authors should prepare original research results which has not being published by other authors in any publication. To ensure it, the authors need to check the originality of article using plagiarism checker before submission. The article will be rejected if there is plagiarism on the article. Any information from references used in the article should be honestly and accurately cited in the article.

Multiple Submissions:

The authors should submit their article to the PGM only. When it is not accepted to publish in the PGM as the result of peer-review and officially reported by Editor-in-Chief or the Managing Editor, the authors can submit it to other journal. The article will be rejected if there is plagiarism and multiple submissions on the article.

Errors in Publication:

The authors will recieve their article to conduct final checkig of any error in the article before publication. The authors should report any error in the article to the Editor-in-Chief, or Managing Editor in a period of time given, and the errors should be clearly listed and addressed in a separated sheet together with the evidence of revision.

 

Responsibilities of Publisher

Persatuan Ahli Gizi Indonesia (Persagi) as the publisher of Journal Penelitian Kesehatan (PGM), encourages the editors and all stakeholders involved in publication processes to follow the ethics and code of conducts of every parties. The publisher defines the relationship between publisher, editor and other party in a contract, respect privacy, protects intellectual property and copyright, and fosters editorial independence.

Publisher works with journal editors to set journal policies appropriately and aim to meet those policies, particularly with respect to: editorial independence, research ethics, including confidentiality, consent, and the special requirements for human and animal research, authorship, transparency and integrity.

Publisher works with journal editors to converse journal policies in general and review journal policies periodically, responsible for the investigation of suspected research and publication misconduct and, where possible, facilitate in the resolution of these cases, make and publish corrections, clarifications, and retractions, and publish content on a timely basis.

 

Animal Ethics

The PGM and its editors endorse the compliance of authors to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki of the World Medical Association, which relate to the conduct of ethical research on human beings, and the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals of the Institute for Laboratory Animal Research of the National Research Council, which relate to the conduct of ethical research on laboratory and other animals.
