Sebagai subjek adalah siswi SLTA. Remaja putri daerah perkotaan 49 orang SLTA di Kodya Bogor, dan remaja putri daerah pedesaan 45 orang siswi SLTA Kabupaten Bogor. Tujuan penelitian ialah mendapatkan nilai penggunaan energi sehubungan dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan golongan remaja putri, baik dari daerah perkotaan maupun dari daerah pedesaan. Jumlah subjek perkotaan untuk analisis data 33 orang, untuk subjek pedesaan 37 orang. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa: rata-rata umur, berat badan, tinggi badan, Body Mass Index (BMI), keadaan gizi (% BB/TB), % lemak tubuh/BB, kedua kelompok perbedaannya tidak bermakna (P>0.05). Rata-rata Hb subjek perkotaan 12.5g%, subjek pedesaan 11.0g% (perbedaan bermakna, p<0.01). Rata-rata BMR subjek perkotaan 1104 Kkal/hari, atau 24.39 Kkal/kg BB/hari atau 0.017 Kkal/kg BB/mmenit atau 58.05 Kkal/BMI/24 jam. BMR subjek pedesaan 1238 Kkal/hari atau 27.3 Kkal/kg BB/hari, atau 0.019 Kkal/kg BB/hari, atau 65.73 Kkal/BMI/24 jam. Pola kegiatan kedua kelompok terdapat perbedaan terutama pada kegiatan occupational household task dan naik mobil, lebih banyak dilakukan oleh subjek pedesaan. Besarnya penggunaan energi untuk berbagai kegiatan sehari-hari, kelompok pedesaan lebih besar (39.7 Kkal/kg BB/hari) daripada penggunaan energi kelompok perkotaan (35.5 Kkal/kg BB/hari).
